Bolton Abbey
Home > Bolton Abbey | This gorgeous part of the dales forms the Bolton Abbey Estate, run by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The Estate comprises of thirty thousand acres of countryside in the Yorkshire Dales and has over eighty miles of woodland. Contained within are a multitude of footpaths and medieval buildings to explore. The Priory Church of St.Mary and St.Cuthbert has a history dating back to the twelth century. | There are places to stay within the Abbey Estate itself including hotels, bed and breakfast, bunk barns and camping. Skipton lies a mere seven miles west of Bolton Abbey and Harrogate, a Victorian spa town, seventeen miles east.
